ASEANnale 2023

ASEANnale 2023 is a hybrid (i.e. virtual and in-person) cultural dialogue where participants contribute to ASEAN Studies in a multi-disciplinary level. With a theme on Sustainability in Education: Intersections, Ideation, Innovations, it is a crucial event that brings together education practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and innovators to explore sustainable development in education in ASEAN. ASEANnale aims to foster regional and global dialogue and exchange of ideas on how education can address the challenges of environmental degradation, social inequality, and economic development while promoting sustainability in the ASEAN region and beyond.

The ASEANnale theme reflects the need to examine the intersections of sustainability and education in ASEAN and beyond, the ideation and innovations needed to address the challenges of sustainable development in education. It will provide a platform for participants to share their experiences and innovative practices in sustainable education and to explore new strategies for promoting sustainability in education through research presentation, multimedia and food festivals.

It highlights research and studies that present the narratives of their countries and the regional culture of ASEAN while showing to the region and the world the artistic and innovative works of ASEAN higher education students and faculty in producing digital video and multimedia materials and cuisines that reflect the intersection between food production and consumption and sustainability.
